Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Cruise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Cruise shoots in for a double leg but Paul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Paul tries to clinch there but Cruise circles away.

Cruise looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paul is fending him off so far but Cruise persists. Nope, Paul circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cruise changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paul looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cruise tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Paul was well out of range. Poor timing from Cruise.
Paul shoots in but Cruise avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Paul bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cruise's guard.
Paul is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Paul wants to take a breather but Cruise is having none of it.

I would just about give that final round to Jason Cruise.
