Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Snick Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaine Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp misses with a head kick.
Bishop misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sharp avoids a kick to the body.

Bishop has managed to clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sharp.

Bishop has hold of one of Sharp's legs. Sharp is fighting the takedown attempt but Bishop gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Bishop is stalling in the full guard.
Bishop is looking to work some ground and pound but Sharp has wrist control.
Sharp keeping full guard, as Bishop tries to pass.
Bishop has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sharp keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bishop throwing strikes from guard but Sharp blocks nicely.
Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sharp throws a leg kick but Bishop moved away.

Bishop closes the distance and pushes Sharp back into the cage.
Bishop swings wildly with an uppercut but Sharp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bishop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Sharp successfully pulls guard.
Bishop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Bishop has gone for a leg lock! Sharp slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bishop's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sharp advances position into side control!
Bishop wants to control but Sharp postures up.
Bishop is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sharp wants to control but Bishop is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sharp wants to stand but Bishop is controlling his arm.
Sharp working away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bishop is looking for a sweep.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bishop drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sharp is breathing heavily.
Bishop trying to control but Sharp is working from the bottom.
Bishop pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sharp is keeping the position for now.
Bishop wants to control from the top but Sharp keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bishop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sharp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sharp avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bishop passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Bishop wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sharp, who protects the arm well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bishop tries to score with some ground and pound. Sharp controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blaine Bishop dominated that round.
That's time! Sharp's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sharp throws a right and a left that Bishop avoids nicely.
Snick Sharp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sharp misses with a two punch combination.
A jab lands there for Sharp.

Bishop scores a takedown into full mount!

Bishop quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bishop but it's paid off an Sharp is forced to tap! Nice work by Bishop.
