The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boggs tries to score a power double leg takedown but McDermott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boggs somewhat.
Christian McDermott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDermott darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McDermott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boggs sees it coming and defends easily.

Boggs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McDermott is working away from the top position though.

Well McDermott has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
