Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Dempsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bev Biala!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biala blocks a leg kick.
Biala throws a jab when Dempsey was well out of range.
Dempsey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dempsey fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dempsey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Biala looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dempsey sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Biala is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Dempsey is staying tight to Biala's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Dempsey fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Dempsey stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dempsey tries to close the distance and clinch but Biala swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Patrick Dempsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dempsey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Biala swivels and escapes.
Biala misses with a leg kick.
Dempsey throws a head kick that misses.

Dempsey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Biala but Biala pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dempsey moves out of range as Biala strikes.
Biala is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dempsey.
Dempsey misses with a takedown attempt - Biala sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Biala uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dempsey has time to react.

Nice uppercut lands for Biala. That snapped Dempsey's head back.

Biala feints and then cracks Dempsey's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dempsey down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dempsey chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Biala can pounce on him.

Biala throws a hook but Dempsey avoids it easily.

Dempsey throws a hook to the side of Biala's head but Biala sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Dempsey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Biala wants to stand but Dempsey is controlling the position.
Dempsey throws a big right hand that misses.
Biala pushes Dempsey off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dempsey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Biala throws a head kick that misses
and Dempsey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Biala's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dempsey stops Biala from standing up.
Biala really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dempsey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dempsey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Biala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dempsey throws a strike but Biala avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dempsey looking to sit in guard and control but Biala gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

and Biala connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dempsey takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Biala throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dempsey checks a leg kick.

Dempsey ducks under a wild hook from Biala.
Patrick Dempsey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

enabling Biala to counter with a crisp jab.

Dempsey needs to keep his hands up - Biala had a free shot at his head there.

A head kick lands from Biala that sends Dempsey to the canvas. Dempsey tries to scramble back to his feet but Biala brings him back down into side control.
Oh Dempsey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dempsey throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Dempsey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Biala is looking to take a break and control but Dempsey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The crowd cheers as Biala lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dempsey doesn't seem phased though.
Biala waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dempsey.
Biala connects with the punch.

and Biala counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dempsey's knee momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dempsey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bev Biala comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Biala has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
