Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinten McCloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Bantou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bantou comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Brownvillian kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jack Bantou is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinten McCloud! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Bantou! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by McCloud or perhaps it was just good defense by Bantou which made him look bad. McCloud misses with a straight right. McCloud takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McCloud takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bantou throws the kick towards the body but McCloud avoids it. McCloud fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bantou avoids it really well and circles away. McCloud shoots in and drives through. Bantou sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinten McCloud. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McCloud. The fight stays on the outside here - McCloud looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McCloud tries for a takedown but Bantou sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McCloud fails with an attempt to clinch.
Quinten McCloud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCloud tries to clinch but Bantou moves out of range. McCloud closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bantou to the mat! Bantou manages to get full guard. Bantou wants to stand but McCloud is controlling the position. McCloud slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bantou wants to get back to his feet. Bantou avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McCloud. McCloud working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCloud landing a few strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCloud is working to tighten is grip on Bantou's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bantou has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McCloud is really squeezing tight and eventually Bantou passes out! McCloud breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Quinten McCloud!
