Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Umipig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Noga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umipig comes to the cage accompanied by Loser. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Umipig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Noga!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Umipig sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Noga fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Umipig shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Umipig slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Noga wants to sweep here but Umipig controlling him for the moment.

Noga pulls Umipig in to control the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Noga was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Umipig shoots in and gets a takedown into Noga's guard.

Noga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Umipig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Noga looking for a sweep. Not yet Noga, not yet.
Umipig wants to pass the guard but Noga is keeping the position.
Umipig passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Umipig looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Umipig is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Umipig's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Noga is trying to get back to half guard.

Brandon Umipig has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Noga is looking for a sweep.
Noga is trying to control Umipig's posture but Umipig avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Umipig tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Umipig has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Umipig's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Noga counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Noga decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Umipig's guard.

Noga takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Umipig tries to get to full guard but Noga has control of the leg.
Umipig moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Noga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Noga was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Noga counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Umipig!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Umipig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Noga trying to control but Umipig is having none of it.
Noga is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Umipig can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Noga wants to control the pace but Umipig is squirming around nicely.

Umipig sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Noga wants to stand up but Umipig is controlling the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Umipig manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Umipig pulls Noga in close to prevent any damage.

Umipig looking for a guillotine here but Noga defends easily.

Umipig will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Umipig looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Umipig pulls Noga in close to prevent any damage.
Noga wants to control from the top but Umipig keeps moving.
Umipig is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Noga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Noga throws a one two combo.

Umipig closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brandon Umipig overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Noga seems a little lost for a moment, as Umipig dominates the positioning.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We're going to have a standup here because Brandon Umipig wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Umipig stuffs the takedown attempt from Noga. Noga gets slowly back to his feet.

Umipig closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Noga wants to get back to his feet.
Umipig content just to control the position here.
Noga tries to lock up and control but Umipig gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Noga tries to reverse the position but Umipig maintains control.
Umipig controlling his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Umipig moves to take his opponent's back.
Noga trying to control the hands but Umipig won't let him.

Brandon Umipig showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Umipig has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
