Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jhonatan Faust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ziemowit Savchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savchenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kaliber 44 - Szał baj najt kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jhonatan Faust has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savchenko dives in and grabs Faust's left leg, looking for a takedown. Faust pushes down on Savchenko's head and hops out.
Faust darts in and clinches Savchenko up against the cage.
Savchenko goes for a takedown attempt but Faust pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Faust shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Faust stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Faust throws a head kick that misses.
Savchenko misses with a takedown attempt
and Faust counters by clinching up.
Jhonatan Faust has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ziemowit Savchenko.
Faust tries to pull guard but Savchenko won't allow it.

Savchenko darts in trying to clinch
and Faust counters with a single leg into guard. Savchenko didn't expect that.

Faust drops back looking for a leg! Savchenko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Savchenko manages to kick Faust off! Faust jumps back into Savchenko's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Faust throws a strike but Savchenko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Faust wants to sweep here but Savchenko controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Faust has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Savchenko off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Faust throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Savchenko was covering up waiting for the punch and Faust finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Faust controls from within his opponent's guard.

Faust cracks Savchenko with a solid left hand.
Faust won't allow Savchenko to get back to his feet.
Savchenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faust can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Faust pushes down on Savchenko's leg and manages to get into half guard.

and Faust counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Savchenko's guard now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Faust accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Faust stands and steps away. Savchenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Faust drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Faust has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Faust closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Faust lands in his opponent's guard.
Savchenko is trying to keep Faust in close.

Savchenko wants to sweep but no luck.
Savchenko is working an open guard so Faust takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Savchenko closes the distance but Faust moves to the side
and Faust counters with a head kick.
Faust moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Savchenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Faust counters with a shoot takedown. Savchenko fights it but they end up in guard.

Savchenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Faust gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Faust gets to his feet - Savchenko follows without any prompting.
Savchenko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Faust counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Savchenko!
Savchenko wants to control but Faust is having none of it.
Faust stands up from mount. Strange move.
Faust is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Savchenko's half guard.
Faust seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Savchenko has recovered full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Faust closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Savchenko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Faust's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Faust's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faust bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Faust stays in close to Savchenko's body and controls the position.

Ziemowit Savchenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
