Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Draft Beer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Paulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Beer might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 300 Violin Orchestra. The crowd seem to be enjoying Paulson's choice of entrance music: Pantera - Cowboys from Hell. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Draft Beer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Paulson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Beer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Beer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Paulson cracks a nice hook into Beer's ribs.

Paulson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beer avoids it really well and circles away.
Paulson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beer sprawls well. Beer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paulson gets slowly back to his feet.
Beer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Beer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Beer closes the distance and clinches up with Paulson, looking for a takedown. Beer pushes Paulson against the cage but Paulson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Paulson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Draft Beer.
Well Beer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
