Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsushima is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eminem - Till I Collapse. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Wyatt Hoffman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lewis Tsushima! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsushima throws a hook but Hoffman avoids it easily. Hoffman misses with an uppercut. Tsushima steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hoffman. Hoffman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tsushima to score an easy takedown into full guard. Tsushima keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hoffman's head. Hoffman keeping moving, preventing Tsushima from controlling successfully. Tsushima has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tsushima might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hoffman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hoffman being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lewis Tsushima wasn't active enough on the ground. A looping hook to the body misses from Tsushima. Hoffman does a little dance to reset his feet. Tsushima moves out of range of the strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tsushima is defended easily by Hoffman. Tsushima shoots in looking for a takedown but Hoffman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tsushima's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hoffman misses with a double jab.
Tsushima throws a shot from downtown. Hoffman moves away and avoids it. Tsushima tries a low kick but Hoffman avoids it. Tsushima is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tsushima shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hoffman but Hoffman pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wyatt Hoffman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lewis Tsushima. Tsushima slips under a jab from Hoffman. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hoffman. Tsushima uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hoffman.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tsushima.
Tsushima looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hoffman thuds a left hand into Tsushima's body. Hoffman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tsushima is looking to clinch but Hoffman is avoiding it.
Hoffman ducks under a wild hook from Tsushima. Hoffman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tsushima did well to prevent Hoffman getting side control. Hoffman trying to pass the guard but Tsushima defending well. Hoffman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tsushima's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tsushima works his way to full guard. Good work. Hoffman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tsushima has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoffman has managed to get both his arms back between Tsushima's legs - danger averted. Hoffman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tsushima dives on top into guard. Tsushima trying to control but Hoffman is working from the bottom. Tsushima throwing strikes but missing. Hoffman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tsushima! Hoffman throwing strikes here but Tsushima is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wyatt Hoffman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hoffman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hoffman misses with a hook. Tsushima wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Tsushima misses the shot to the body. Tsushima lands a nice hook to Hoffman's body. Hoffman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Tsushima keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hoffman. Tsushima swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoffman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tsushima counters with a takedown into side control. Hoffman prevents Tsushima from improving position. A lull in the action here as Tsushima stalls from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Tsushima. Hoffman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tsushima connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hoffman some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Tsushima politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tsushima prefers to stall for the moment though. Tsushima tries to advance to mount but Hoffman denies him. Tsushima is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hoffman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tsushima connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hoffman some visible discomfort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsushima working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tsushima wants to control but Hoffman is keeping him busy. Hoffman taking a bit of punishment here - Tsushima scoring with strikes. Tsushima cracks Hoffman with a big right hand but Hoffman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tsushima thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hoffman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman is working hard here to advance position. Tsushima laying and praying for a moment but Hoffman takes advantage and regains half guard. Hoffman wants to get back to full guard. Hoffman is trying to stand back up but Tsushima is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hoffman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tsushima's guard. Tsushima wants to stand but Hoffman is controlling the position. Tsushima is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hoffman defends well. Tsushima wants to sweep but no luck. Hoffman with a flurry of punches that miss. Hoffman trying to control but Tsushima is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoffman throwing strikes but missing. Tsushima lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hoffman! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hoffman controlling Tsushima's posture. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hoffman trying to keep a closed guard but Tsushima is proving a slippery customer.
We're going to have a standup here because Wyatt Hoffman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hoffman shoots in and drives through. Tsushima sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hoffman throws an overhand right that lands on Tsushima's shoulder, as Tsushima tries to avoid the shot. Hoffman throws a body punch but Tsushima moves out of range. Hoffman checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hoffman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsushima throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoffman. Hoffman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tsushima motions for Hoffman to come forward. Tsushima throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Lewis Tsushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tsushima misses with a takedown attempt and Hoffman counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hoffman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hoffman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tsushima drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hoffman keeping full guard, as Tsushima tries to pass. Tsushima prevents Hoffman from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tsushima works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tsushima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hoffman keeps working. Tsushima is looking for a kimura but Hoffman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tsushima to get the leverage. Tsushima prevents Hoffman from improving his position. Lewis Tsushima has got the better of the ground game so far. Hoffman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hoffman wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Lewis Tsushima comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tsushima has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
