Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bong Rip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcello Sosa!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rip tries to clinch but Sosa is having none of it.
Rip looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Sosa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Sosa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sosa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rip doesn't seem bothered though.
Sosa drops Rip with a left and a right! Oh, Rip is hurt - Sosa dives into side control looking to finish!
Rip is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sosa is staying tight to Rip's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Oh Rip is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sosa stands up.
Sosa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rip seems to have got his legs back now.
Sosa drops Rip with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rip looks back up at him and smiles so Sosa waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sosa throws an overhand right that has Rip reeling! Sosa follows up with a more punches and Rip is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marcello Sosa!
