PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Showler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Condo Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Showler comes to the cage accompanied by City Lights. Showler has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Condo Bone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Bone. Showler does a little dance to reset his feet.

Showler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Showler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Showler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bone looking for a sweep. Not yet Bone, not yet.
Bone is trying to control the position but Showler postures up.

Bone should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown by Showler or perhaps it was just good defense by Bone which made him look bad.

Showler tries to close the distance and clinch but Bone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Showler tries to circle away but Bone has him pinned against the cage.

Showler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Showler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Condo Bone dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Showler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Condo Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bone lands a nice shot that snaps Showler's head back.
Showler is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Showler wants to get back to striking at distance but Bone won't allow it.

Showler postures up in Bone's guard and throws a big left but Bone blocks it.

Showler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bone, up you get!

and Showler holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Showler wants to break free but Bone has control.

Showler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Showler has managed to get both his arms back between Bone's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
