Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Saterra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Mica!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saterra shoots in and drives through. Mica sprawls well.
Mica misses with a jab, cross combination.
Saterra throws a combination that misses
and Mica counters with a two punch combo.
Saterra closes the distance but Mica moves to the side
and Mica counters by clinching up.
Saterra jumps guard but Mica stands there with Saterra around his waist. Saterra gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Saterra prevents a takedown attempt there.
Saterra digs a right hand underneath Mica's ribcage. Mica let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Mica crunches a lovely knee into Saterra's ribcage.
Mica wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Saterra has him pressed against the cage.

Mica tries for a takedown but Saterra sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

TJ Saterra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Mica.

and Mica cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Saterra is breathing heavily.
Saterra lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mica will feel that in the morning.
Mica tries to clinch but Saterra is having none of it.
Mica shoots for a double leg takedown but Saterra sprawls well. He's pushed Mica's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Mica cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Saterra fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Saterra misses with the body kick
and Mica counters with a three punch combo that has Saterra backing up. Saterra nods at Mica to acknowledge the strikes.
Mica moves into range and clinches up with Saterra.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mica takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Saterra is trying to maintain a safe position but Mica gets an underhook and turns Saterra into the cage.
Mica drags the fight down to the ground.

Mica wants to sweep but no luck.
Mica is working an open guard so Saterra takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Mica misses with a series of wild punches.
Saterra misses with the combination.
Saterra fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Saterra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mica counters by moving into the clinch.

Mica turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Saterra is not content to let Mica control the position.
Mica gets to mount! Saterra was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Mica takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saterra wants to hold on but Mica pushes him away.

Mica lands a big shot there that rocks Saterra but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Saterra sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Mica stalling.
Mica stands up out of the half guard.
Saterra tries to close the distance and clinch but Mica swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mica is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No luck for Mica with that takedown attempt.
Saterra shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mica pinned against the cage. Mica gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Saterra counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott Mica dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Saterra swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mica counters with an inside leg kick.
Saterra shoots in and bounces Mica off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mica is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Saterra drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mica manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Saterra has Mica in his guard.
Saterra uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Mica counters with a body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Horrible takedown by Saterra or perhaps it was just good defense by Mica which made him look bad.

Saterra would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Mica counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saterra's guard now.

Scott Mica comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mica has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
