Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Debor Tan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rico Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez tries to clinch but Tan moves out of range. Sanchez misses with a body shot.
Sanchez tries to clinch up but Tan circles away and keeps his distance. Sanchez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tan lands a jab to the nose. Sanchez tries to clinch but Tan moves out of range. Sanchez misses the shot to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tan throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease. Tan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tan is looking to chop away at Sanchez's legs. Tan throws a nice inside leg kick. Sanchez tries to clinch up but Tan circles away and keeps his distance. Tan tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanchez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tan connects with a right hand. Sanchez shakes it off. Debor Tan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A kick lands to the mid section there for Tan. Sanchez looks gassed! Tan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sanchez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tan.
Tan throws a one two combo.
Tan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Tan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tan misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tan can pounce on him.
Sanchez takes one to the side of the head.
Sanchez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tan cracks a nice hook into Sanchez's ribs. Tan scores with a body shot.
Tan throws a head kick that misses. Tan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanchez on the side of the head. Tan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tan scores with a jab. Sanchez acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Tan scores with a shot to the body.
A shot to the liver by Tan. Beautiful body shot. Tan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Sanchez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sanchez walks into a jab. Sanchez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Sanchez is rocked! Tan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Tan finish him? A punch lands to the side of Sanchez 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Tan Rushes Sanchez and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Sanchez is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Tan Piles on the pressure and Sanchez crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
