PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Crocop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is the Black Dahlia Murder - Deathmask Divine. Crocop is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wild Boys. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scott drops Crocop with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Crocop looks back up at him and smiles so Scott waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Crocop in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
