Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sando Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swick has chosen Linkin Park - Numb as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sando Han! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Swick! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swick misses the shot to the body. Swick cracks a nice hook into Han's ribs. Han tries to close the distance and clinch but Swick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Han takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Sando Han has been cut. Swick scores with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Swick fails with a takedown attempt. Swick throws a left that rocks Han and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Swick dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Han regain composure!
Han is rocked! Swick creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Han sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Han is letting Swick control him for a moment. Swick is looking to take a break and control but Han is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Swick controls the position from side control. Swick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swick working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Han tries to escape but Swick is in control. Swick lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Han down.
Han knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swick on the ground. Han is letting Swick control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Swick is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Han has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Swick trying to control the action but Han is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Swick is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Han is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Han is not content to let Swick control the position. Han wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Swick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Han knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Han is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Swick is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Swick wants to control but Han is keeping him busy. Swick in side control, throwing shots but Han defends. Swick content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Han is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Swick is controlling him well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Swick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Han keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Swick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Han was well out of range. Poor timing from Swick. Nice sprawl there from Han as Swick shoots in. Han tries to clinch up. Swick throws a right hand that Han ducks under and follows up with a left that Han also avoids with ease. Swick looks to score with a jab to the body but Han is just out of range. Swick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Han sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Swick somewhat. Han tries to clinch but Swick moves out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Han. Swick connects with the punch. Han uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Swick. Han tries to clinch but Swick is having none of it. A big left from Swick misses. Swick keeps the fight on the outside. Swick looks to land a left hand but Han moved out of range nicely. Han is looking to clinch. Han throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Sando Han is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Han wants to clinch. Swick misses with a few strikes there.

Swick throws out a loose jab but Han uses good head movement to avoid it. Swick fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sando Han has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Swick. Han pushes Swick up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Han pushes Swick back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Swick on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Swick changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Han fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Swick swats away the attempt to clinch by Han. Han staying out of range there. Han moves in looking to clinch but Swick pushes him off. Nice shot lands for Swick. Han ducks right into an uppercut from Swick. Swick scores with a three punch combo!
Sando Han's cut is getting worse. Swick is breathing heavily. No joy there for Swick, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good standup being displayed there by Han as he connects with a hook. Swick looks for a takedown but Han sprawls well. Han displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Swick throws out the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Han tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Swick throws a series of punches but Han moves out of range. Han tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swick paws at him with a jab and circles away. Han doesn't manage to clinch there - Swick circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Swick. Jake Swick seems to be getting the better of the standup. Han fails with an attempt to clinch.
Han scores with a jab to the body. Han lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Han moves in looking to clinch but Swick pushes him off. Han fails in his attempt to clinch. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Han. Swick shrugs it off though. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Han! Swick is out on his feet! Han rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Swick is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Swick is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
