Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phillipe Nover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nover comes to the cage accompanied by DMX-Intro. Phillipe Nover has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phillipe Nover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinya Aoki! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki fails with a takedown attempt. Aoki shoots for a takedown but Nover saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Aoki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nover as he avoids it easily. Phillipe Nover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinya Aoki. Nover stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nover wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aoki dives in and grabs Nover's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nover pushes down on Aoki's head and hops out. Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nover tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nover to the ground. Nover escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nover throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nover throws a body punch but Aoki moves out of range. Aoki drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aoki controlling from side mount. Nover is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aoki controls the position. Nover is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nover is working hard here to advance position. Nover is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Aoki trying to control the position but Nover is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nover stuffs the takedown. Aoki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nover throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aoki shoots in for a double leg but Nover sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shinya Aoki will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Nover pivots, looking for a leg kick but Aoki is out of range and Nover settles back down. Aoki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nover circles away. Aoki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nover as he avoids it easily. Aoki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nover.
Aoki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nover sprawls well initially but Aoki persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Aoki is keen to just control but Nover is a slippery customer. Nover wants to improve his position but Aoki is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki slows the pace down in half guard. Aoki is breathing heavily. Aoki is trying to control. Nover wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nover tries to roll over but Aoki keeps him under control. Aoki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nover is looking to control Aoki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nover avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aoki trying to control the pace. Aoki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Aoki keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nover is looking to escape. Aoki performing his best blanket impression for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinya Aoki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Nover displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aoki. Nover slaps away a takedown attempt from Aoki, before circling back to the center of the mat. Shinya Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nover keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nover's corner calls for a 1-2. Nover obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nover keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Aoki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Aoki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nover defends it nicely. Shinya Aoki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A looping hook to the body misses from Nover. Aoki does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aoki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nover scores with a nice head shot. Nover scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Shinya Aoki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A swing and a miss from Nover. Aoki dives in and grabs Nover's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nover pushes down on Aoki's head and hops out. Good shot there by Nover.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Good shot there by Nover. Nover is looking to wear down Aoki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nover connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Aoki closes the distance and clinches up with Nover, looking for a takedown. Aoki pushes Nover against the cage but Nover circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Nover. No joy for Aoki on that attempt. Nover throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aoki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nover dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Phillipe Nover has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aoki moves forwards but Nover connects with a nice, crisp jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Phillipe Nover showed his dominance in that final round. I think Aoki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
