Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between jon bon jovi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bon jovi tries to sprawl but McTavish drives through with a takedown into half guard.
McTavish looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks bon jovi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McTavish has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
bon jovi tries to kick McTavish off but McTavish keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
McTavish is working for a kimura but bon jovi is defending it quite comfortably.
bon jovi tries to roll over but McTavish keeps him under control.

McTavish is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McTavish not landing any meaningful shots this time.
McTavish seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

McTavish uses his free foot to push down on bon jovi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for bon jovi.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McTavish is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. bon jovi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
bon jovi is squirming around, avoiding McTavish's attempts to control the action.

McTavish looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

McTavish jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but bon jovi manages to avoid the submission attempt.
bon jovi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McTavish on the ground.
McTavish tries for a kimura but bon jovi is defending well.
McTavish is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but bon jovi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McTavish misses with a few strikes there.
McTavish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. bon jovi defends it nicely.

and McTavish counters with a single leg into guard. bon jovi didn't expect that.
McTavish wants to stand but bon jovi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because jon bon jovi just wasn't active enough.
McTavish feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Alex McTavish has got the better of the ground game so far.
McTavish drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. McTavish seems to have locked his on tight now - bon jovi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for McTavish, as he picks up the win!
