Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Squig Elle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poutine Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Squig Elle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Poutine Pete!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elle tries to clinch there but Pete circles away.
Pete tries a head kick but it misses.
Pete tries to clinch
and Elle counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Elle struggles to land a body shot inside as Pete controls his hands.
Pete breaks from the clinch.
Pete throws a lazy head kick
and Elle counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Pete's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Elle in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Elle controls the position.
Elle tries for a kimura but Pete is defending well.
Elle decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pete to his feet.
Elle tries to clinch but Pete moves out of range.
Pete tries to clinch up
and Elle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pete has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Elle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pete is trying to control the position but Elle postures up.
Pete wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Elle is now in half guard.

Pete is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Elle tries to clinch up but Pete circles away and keeps his distance.
Pete feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pete really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pete avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Elle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pete can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Elle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Elle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Elle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pete lands a couple of digs.
Elle has an active guard here but Pete has managed to pass into half guard.
Pete looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Elle is staying active underneath Pete, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Elle is holding on to half guard well.
Elle manages to get to full guard.
Elle looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pete is defending well. Elle quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pete has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Elle celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
