The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
silva looks for a takedown but aie sprawls well.
A left and a right from aie both land. Nice combination.
It looks like robbie silva has been cut.
silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as aie sprawls well. aie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. silva gets slowly back to his feet.
aie misses with a takedown
and silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by silva.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
aie is trying to stand back up but silva is controlling him
silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

silva lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
silva lands strikes from half guard.
silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force aie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so aie shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
silva looking to control but aie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
aie wants to hold on but silva pushes him away.
aie has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
aie rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That was a close round but I would say that robbie silva will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

aie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

aie has gone for a leg lock! silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into aie's guard.

aie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. silva stacks aie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by silva!

silva tries to pass to full mount but aie defends it.
aie is refusing to be controlled, as silva sits in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

aie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for aie.

aie has his foot on silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. silva works his way back into a safe position though.
aie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

silva is looking to stand up but aie won't let him.
aie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
aie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and silva defends well.
aie throws his legs up looking for a submission but silva uses it to pass to side control.

aie struggling a bit here.
aie throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

This one could be over very soon! silva goes limp - he's gone! aie jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
