Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Chase!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chase gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Chase is retaining full guard.
Green wants to control from the top but Chase keeps moving.
Chase is looking to stand up but Green isn't so interested in that idea.
Green controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Green drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chase looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chase looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chase!
You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Green tries to buck Chase off but Chase is having none of it.
A control attempt from Green but he's now mounted!
Green tries to lock up and control but Chase gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Green is desperately trying to improve his position but Chase has a good base and remains in mount.
Green is squirming around, avoiding Chase's attempts to control the action.
Chase prevents Green from getting the reversal.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Green is breathing heavily.

Chase stands up from mount. Strange move.
Chase is looking to clinch but Green is avoiding it.
Green shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chase but Chase pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chase tries to clinch but Green moves out of range.
Chase moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off.

Green scores with a takedown into Chase's guard.

Green postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chase is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Green, into his guard.

Green is working an open guard so Chase takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Chase moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off.
Green lands a two punch combo.
Chase tries to clinch up.

Green shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Chase avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Green.

Green goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chase has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Green but great work by Chase.
Green manages to get back to half guard.
Green is looking to improve his position.
Green tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Chase has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Green slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Green closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Green is keen to just control but Chase is a slippery customer.
Chase pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.

Green is looking for a kimura but Chase is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Green to get the leverage.

Green is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chase is just riding it out for now. Green eventually gives up the hold.

Chase wants to get back to his feet.
Chase is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Green working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Chase's thigh. Chase counters though and makes it back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chase has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Green is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chase's waist but Chase gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side.

Chase is fighting off a takedown attempt but Green is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Chase to the mat. Chase regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Green is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chase is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chase is not content to let Green control the position.
Green cracks Chase with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Chase is trying to buck Green off.
Green throws an elbow but Chase slips to the side and avoids it well.
Green trying to control the action but Chase is working from the bottom.

Green tries for a kimura but Chase is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Green misses with the ground and pound.

Green looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Green swings around for an armbar but Chase sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Green's guard.
Johnny Chase has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chase can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Green showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
