Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Popinksi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Terpak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Popinksi's entrance music is My Life. A fine choice. Gabriel Popinksi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Popinksi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Terpak! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popinksi forces Terpak back against the cage and clinches. Terpak tightens his grip and picks Popinksi up, before dumping him to the ground. Popinksi manages to land in guard. Terpak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Popinksi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Popinksi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Terpak escapes and throws Popinksi's legs to the side, diving into side control! Terpak is looking to take a break and control but Popinksi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Popinksi manages to get back to half guard. Popinksi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terpak on the ground. Terpak tries to pass to full mount but Popinksi defends it. Terpak is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Popinksi trying to hold on to Terpak's head to control him but Terpak postures up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Popinksi is trying is best to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gabriel Popinksi wasn't doing enough on the ground. Terpak shoots in for a double leg but Popinksi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Popinksi looks to land a combination but Terpak avoids it well. Popinksi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Terpak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Popinksi is in Terpak's guard. Popinksi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Terpak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Popinksi defends it easily. Terpak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Popinksi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Popinksi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Terpak looking for a sweep. Not yet Terpak, not yet. Terpak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Popinksi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Popinksi is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Terpak is trying to control the position but Popinksi postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Popinksi with a flurry of punches that miss. Terpak is looking for a triangle but Popinksi pushes his legs off easily.
Terpak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Terpak looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Popinksi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Terpak keeping moving, preventing Popinksi from controlling successfully. Popinksi drops back looking for a leg! Terpak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Terpak manages to kick Popinksi off! Popinksi jumps back into Terpak's guard. Terpak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Popinksi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Terpak is tightening it up a little... Popinksi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Popinksi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Popinksi taps out! nice BJJ there by Terpak!
