Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Anthony!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Anthony thuds a left hand into Steele's body.
Steele lands a jab to the nose.
Anthony misses with a wild body shot.
Steele wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Anthony misses the body punch
and Steele counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Anthony bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Steele jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Steele throws a hook but Anthony blocks it.
Anthony avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Anthony scores with a shot to the body.
Anthony throws a leg kick which misses Steele's front leg but catches the back leg as Steele tries to avoid it.
Anthony looks to land a body kick but Steele moved away.
Steele swinging wildly here.

Steele throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Anthony was covering up waiting for the punch and Steele finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anthony working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Steele.

Anthony avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Steele trying to control but Anthony is working from the bottom.
Anthony trying to keep a closed guard but Steele is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steele throwing strikes from guard but Anthony blocks nicely.
Steele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Steele wants to control from the top but Anthony keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Anthony utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Steele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anthony works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Anthony working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Steele.
Steele trying to control but Anthony is working from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Steele is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anthony is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Steele throws a big right hand that misses.
Steele trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Anthony manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Steele seems keen to control Anthony's posture.
Steele keeping full guard, as Anthony tries to pass.

Steele throws his legs up looking for a submission but Anthony uses it to pass to side control.
Steele tries to bench press Anthony off him but Anthony keeps the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Steele is trying to work for a sweep but Anthony has mounted him!
Anthony tries to control but Steele wriggling away.
Steele tries to lock up and control but Anthony gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Steele really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Anthony wants to take Steele's back here but Steele is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Steele can't escape the position.
Anthony tries to control but Steele wriggling away.
Anthony is looking to work his way around to Steele's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Steele dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Anthony walks into a left hand.
Steele scores with a jab to the head.
Steele blocks a leg kick.
Anthony scores with a body shot.
Steele will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That kick from Steele tenderised Anthony's leg. Anthony is trying to keep his angry face on.
Steele fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Steele throws a sloppy body shot
and Anthony counters with a nice low kick that buckles Steele's knee momentarily.
Steele loads up on a big right hand but Anthony slips the punch.
A head kick by Anthony misses

and Steele counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Anthony!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steele tries to control but Anthony wriggling away.
Anthony working to try and regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steele goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Anthony turns into him and now he's in Steele's guard.
Anthony trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Steele will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anthony doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anthony manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anthony wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving.
Steele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Anthony looking to sit in guard and control but Steele gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steele throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Steele content to stall in guard here.
Anthony keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anthony wants to control the position but Steele says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Steele winds up and cracks Anthony with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Steele wants to control but Anthony is keeping him busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steele connects with a nice short shot to Anthony's temple.
Anthony is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Steele scores with a couple of nice shots.
Steele misses with a head shot. Anthony uses the momentum to regain guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steele trying to control but Anthony is working from the bottom.
Anthony throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Steele postures up in Anthony's guard and throws a big left but Anthony blocks it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Steele wants to control from the top but Anthony keeps moving.
Steele is really struggling to control Anthony but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Steele dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Steele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Anthony throws a leg kick but Steele sees it coming and moves out of range.
Anthony chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Steele can pounce on him.
Steele is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Steele throws a jab but it's blocked by Anthony.
Anthony uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steele.
A big left from Steele misses.
Anthony throws a nice inside leg kick.
Anthony moves out of range of the strikes.
Anthony displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steele throws out the jab.
Steele missing with a left hand there. Anthony was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Steele is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Steele jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Steele wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Anthony is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Steele rather than just go for the knockout.
Anthony throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Steele takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd cheers as Steele lands an impressive looking overhand right. Anthony doesn't seem phased though.
Anthony jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele tries a low kick but Anthony avoids it.
Donk. Steele catches Anthony right on the button with a cross.
Anthony tries to land a body kick

and Steele counters with a nice right hand that sends Anthony toppling to the canvas! Anthony scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Steele finish him?!


Anthony is rocked!
Anthony takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Anthony is still on wobbly legs! Can Steele finish him?
Anthony takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steele looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Steele drops Anthony with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Anthony! Steele dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). George Steele!
