The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spear shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Spear's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and Spear moves out of range easily.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spear paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rango Spear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson gets a clinch.
Spear has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Johnson successfully pulls guard.
Spear thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Spear works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Johnson is defending against the submission attempts here by Spear.
Spear maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Johnson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Spear has cracked it and Johnson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Spear!
