The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santos avoids it really well and circles away.
Haze misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Haze misses with a double jab.
Haze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Haze closes the distance and clinches up with Santos, looking for a takedown. Haze pushes Santos against the cage but Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Haze fails with the takedown.
Dos Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Haze.
Haze ducks under a wild hook from Santos.
Haze shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santos pinned against the cage. Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silver Haze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Haze.
Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Haze looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Haze as he jumps to the side.

and Haze counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Haze looking to sit in guard and control but Santos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Santos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Haze is trying to keep Santos in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Dos Santos wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Haze tries to score a power double leg takedown but Santos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haze somewhat.
Haze fails with an attempt to clinch.

Haze has his takedown stuffed
and Santos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Haze thinking.
Santos steps into range and cracks Haze with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Haze flops backwards and Santos dives into his guard looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A combination from Santos does no damage.
Santos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Haze misses with a takedown attempt
letting Santos counter with a right hand.
Santos throws an overhand right that drops Haze like a sack of potatoes! Santos dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
