Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Badass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Badass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Stephens! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stephens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Badass quickly recovers to half guard. Badass is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stephens's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stephens's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Badass working for a choke but Stephens is defending well. I really don't envy Stephens right now.
Will Badass go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Badass is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Stephens has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Badass has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Stephens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Badass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Badass is persistently looking for the submission but Stephens is defending it well.

Stephens tries to escape but Badass has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Badass working for a choke but Stephens is defending well. I really don't envy Stephens right now.

Maybe a few strikes would soften Stephens for a finish. You can see the frustration on Stephens's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Badass looking to break Stephens's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Stephens remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Badass will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Stephens is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Badass gets his way!
Badass gets his hands free as Stephens looks to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Will Badass go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. I really don't envy Stephens right now.

Bill Badass dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stephens decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Badass looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Stephens wants to control but Badass is keeping him busy. The fighters are battling for position here. Badass manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Stephens's corner is telling him to maintain position. Stephens looking to pass the guard. Stephens wants to control from the top but Badass keeps moving.
Justin Stephens has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Badass fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Stephens with that takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stephens. Badass circles away from the clinch attempt.

Stephens takes a swing at Badass's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Badass clinches. Badass breaks the clinch.
Stephens gets the takedown into side control. Badass can't do much from the bottom here. Badass is looking to reverse the position. Badass is not content to let Stephens control the position. Badass wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Stephens wants to control but Badass is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Badass is trying to control Stephens's posture but Stephens avoids it. Badass prevents Stephens from improving position. Badass is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Stephens lands some shots froms side control. Stephens tries to move to mount but Badass blocks the move with his legs. Badass is trying to buck Stephens off. Stephens takes a little break here. Badass wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Badass is looking for a sweep. Badass is not content to let Stephens control the position. Badass is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Badass tries to get to full guard but Stephens has control of the leg. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Badass is staying active underneath Stephens, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Badass is pressing down on Stephens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Stephens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Stephens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Badass's guard. Badass is trying to keep Stephens in close.
Badass wants to stand but Stephens is controlling the position. Stephens trying to control the position from guard on top but Badass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Badass is looking for a triangle but Stephens pushes his legs off easily.
Stephens stays in close to Badass's body and controls the position. Badass keeping moving, preventing Stephens from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Justin Stephens was stalling too much, according to the referee. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stephens. Badass throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Badass misses with a few strikes there.
Stephens tries to score a power double leg takedown but Badass sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stephens somewhat. Badass throws a body punch but Stephens moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stephens. Bill Badass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Stephens. Badass lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stephens backs up against the cage.
Badass throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stephens. Stephens tries to clinch but Badass moves out of range. Stephens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Badass paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bill Badass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stephens checks a leg kick nicely. Bill Badass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Badass fails in his attempt to clinch. Bill Badass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Badass.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stephens. Badass moves into range and connects with a jab. Badass defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stephens. Badass throws a nice looking combination but Stephens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Badass gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stephens to score an easy takedown into full guard. Badass trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Badass has his foot on Stephens's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stephens works his way back into a safe position though. Stephens trying to control but Badass is working from the bottom. Badass throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Stephens avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stephens scoring with some ground and pound. Badass can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stephens controls the pace. Stephens must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Badass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stephens is aware though and is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Badass showed his dominance in that final round. Well Badass has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
