Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Flugentaggen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flugentaggen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flugentaggen showed some decent athleticism there.
Flugentaggen tries to stand and escape but Lima actually recovers to full guard.
Flugentaggen tries to free his leg and advance position but Lima is retaining full guard.
Lima lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flugentaggen!
Lima wants to control but instead Flugentaggen manages to regain half guard.

Flugentaggen is looking for a sweep. Lima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Flugentaggen is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Lima can't fight it off and eventually Flugentaggen manages to take the fight to the floor. Lima looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Flugentaggen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lima manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Flugentaggen has Lima in his guard.
Flugentaggen wants to stand and escape but Lima is having none of it.

Flugentaggen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lima does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lima on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lima tries to get out of the position.
