Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boxing Bandit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Bravo! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bandit rushes Bravo and presses him up against the cage. Bravo has hold of one of Bandit's legs. Bandit is fighting the takedown attempt but Bravo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Bravo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johnny Bravo wasn't active enough on the ground. Bandit with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Boxing Bandit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bandit tries to clinch but Bravo moves out of range. Bandit throws a push kick but Bravo slaps the foot to one side. Bandit tries to clinch up but Bravo circles away and keeps his distance. Bravo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bandit wants to clinch. Bandit shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bravo defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bandit tries to clinch but Bravo is having none of it. Bandit lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Johnny Bravo has been cut. Bravo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bandit. Bandit tries to clinch up. Bandit gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bravo showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bravo stopping the sweep attempt from Bandit. Bravo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johnny Bravo. Bandit has his takedown stuffed and Bravo moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boxing Bandit. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bravo prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bravo has Bandit pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bravo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bandit tumbling to the mat - Bravo dives into Bandit's guard. Bandit throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bravo stands and steps away. Bandit gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bandit closes the distance looking to clinch and Bravo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bandit's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bravo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bravo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Bravo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Bravo's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bandit throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bandit doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bravo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bravo content to stall in guard here. Bandit is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bravo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bandit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bravo counters with a shoot takedown. Bandit fights it but they end up in guard. Bravo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bandit looking for a sweep. Not yet Bandit, not yet. Bravo passes Bandit's left leg - he's now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Bravo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bravo postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bandit to stand up. Bandit shoots and misses and Bravo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bandit! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boxing Bandit. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bravo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johnny Bravo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bandit tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bravo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bravo. Bravo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bandit trying to control the position.
Bravo controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bravo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Bandit enables Bravo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bandit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bravo sitting in guard here, content to control. Bandit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bravo content to stall in guard here. Bravo passes Bandit's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bravo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Johnny Bravo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Bravo distracts Bandit with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bravo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bandit's guard. Bravo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Johnny Bravo has got the better of the ground game so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Johnny Bravo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bandit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bravo counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boxing Bandit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bravo controls the position. Bravo has hold of Bandit's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bandit tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bravo cranks the arm and Bandit screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bandit, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
