Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louden Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hero's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, No shelter - Rage against the machine. Swain has chosen "Only the Young" by Journey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Hero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louden Swain! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Hero or perhaps it was just good defense by Swain which made him look bad. Hero fails with the takedown. Hero shoots in and bounces Swain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Swain keeping full guard, as Hero tries to pass. Hero decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Swain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hero tries to avoid it but Swain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hero to the ground. Hero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hero shoots for a double leg takedown but Swain sprawls well. He's pushed Hero's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Hero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Swain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Swain looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Swain tries to free his leg and advance position but Hero is retaining full guard. Hero throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Swain got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swain has managed to get both his arms back between Hero's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hero tries to land a sweep but no joy. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Swain scoring with punches to the head and body. Hero looking for a guillotine here but Swain defends easily.
Hero is breathing heavily. Swain lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Swain throwing strikes but missing. Hero has his foot on Swain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Swain works his way back into a safe position though. Swain working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swain cracks Hero with a solid left hand. Swain postures up in Hero's guard and throws a big left but Hero blocks it. Hero has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Swain off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Hero fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hero drives through with a takedown into guard. Hero trying to control but Swain is working from the bottom. Hero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hero prevents Swain from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swain, up you get! Hero throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Swain on the side of the head. Swain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hero as he avoids it easily. Swain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Hero counter with a right hand. Hero tests Swain's chin there with a solid looking shot. A good leg kick by Hero. Swain misses with a takedown and Hero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hero misses with a takedown attempt - Swain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Swain napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hero stands up and beckons Swain to his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Hero. Hero lands a nice shot that snaps Swain's head back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hero lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hero lets loose with a powerful body kick. Swain will feel that in the morning. Hero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swain avoids it really well and circles away. Hero fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hero misses with a takedown attempt - Swain sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Swain shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hero napping and manages to drive through into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hero is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Swain working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hero pushes Swain away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Swain gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hero is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swain avoids it really well and circles away. Swain walks straight into a jab right on the nose. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hero works his way into side control. Swain is being controlled here. Hero cracks Swain with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hero is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Swain has escaped the position, nice work there. Swain wants to get back to his feet but Hero drags him back down.

Swain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Hero lands a really nice looking cross but Swain seems unphased.
Swain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hero throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Swain defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hero. Christopher Hero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Swain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hero to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hero trying to control but Swain is working from the bottom.

Swain is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Swain can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Swain looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Christopher Hero has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Swain tries for a takedown but Hero circles away easily and Hero counters with a shoot takedown. Swain fights it but they end up in guard. Hero in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Swain wants to get back to his feet but Hero passes into half guard.
Hero decides to stand and escape the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hero scores with a takedown into Swain's guard. Swain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hero decides to stand back up. Hero steps back and let's Swain get back to his feet. Swain gets a takedown into half guard. Hero looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Swain frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Swain prevents Hero from getting the reversal.

Hero bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hero wants to control from the top but Swain keeps moving. Hero wants to control from the top but Swain keeps moving. Swain has a closed guard, preventing Hero from standing up. Hero won't allow Swain to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Louden Swain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hero has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
