Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Trula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Te Mako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, King Trula! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimbo Te Mako! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te Mako shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trula sprawls well. Trula wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Te Mako gets slowly back to his feet. Trula misses with the combination.
King Trula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Te Mako shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Te Mako is looking for a kimura but Trula is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Te Mako to get the leverage. Trula tries to kick Te Mako off but Te Mako keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Trula wants to get back to full guard but Te Mako has mounted him! Te Mako working for a submission but Trula is keeping him at bay. Te Mako jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Trula manages to avoid the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trula tries to escape but Te Mako is in control. Te Mako is trying to get an arm triangle but Trula is defending well. Te Mako creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Trula sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Trula is trying to control Te Mako's posture but Te Mako avoids it. Trula tries to buck Te Mako off but Te Mako is having none of it. Trula can't do much from the bottom here. Trula is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Te Mako is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. You can see the frustration on Trula's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Te Mako has hold of Trula's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Trula tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Te Mako cranks the arm and Trula screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Trula, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jimbo Te Mako!
