Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Red Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer lands with a nice combination. Bishop backs away looking to recover.

Slayer throws a right and a left that Bishop avoids nicely.
Slayer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bishop circles away quickly and effectively.
Slayer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slayer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Slayer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bishop off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Bryan Bishop will probably get the nod.

Bishop feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bishop, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
