Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Magus Arbenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magus Arbenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Ness! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ness stuns Arbenson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Arbenson lands with a shot to the body. Ness shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arbenson pinned against the cage. Arbenson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ness misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Arbenson.
Nice sprawl there from Arbenson as Ness shoots in. A combination from Arbenson does no damage. Ness shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arbenson as he avoids it easily. Magus Arbenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Ness. Arbenson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mike Ness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ness takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Arbenson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ness manages to avoid it. Ness throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Arbenson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Arbenson thumps Ness with a low kick. Ness moves out of range of the strikes. Arbenson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ness. Ness ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arbenson moves away. Arbenson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Arbenson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Arbenson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Arbenson misses with a head kick.
Ness throws a lazy right hand but Arbenson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arbenson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Arbenson throws a nice inside leg kick. Ness looks gassed! A big right from Ness misses. Ness looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Arbenson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Arbenson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ness defends it nicely. Good standup being displayed there by Arbenson as he connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arbenson looks to throw the jab but Ness is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Arbenson defending well as Ness loads up on a big left hand. Arbenson scores with a nice right hand.
A slow jab from Arbenson misses its intended target. Arbenson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Mike Ness has been cut. Arbenson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Arbenson trying to control the position but Ness is working away. Arbenson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ness is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ness tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Arbenson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ness can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Magus Arbenson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Ness's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ness bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ness takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Arbenson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ness postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Arbenson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Arbenson controls Ness momentarily but Ness frees himself. Ness throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Arbenson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson seems keen to control Ness's posture. Ness throws a strike but Arbenson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Arbenson looking to pass the guard. Ness keeping moving, preventing Arbenson from controlling successfully. Arbenson prevents Ness from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Arbenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ness is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ness is trying to keep Arbenson in close.
Arbenson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Arbenson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ness is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ness has escaped and now he's on top! Arbenson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson working for a triangle but Ness defends it easily.
Arbenson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arbenson is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ness is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ness wants to stand up but Arbenson is controlling him. Arbenson trying to control but Ness is working from the bottom. Arbenson is looking to advance position but Ness has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arbenson gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Magus Arbenson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mike Ness's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Arbenson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Arbenson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Arbenson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ness's calf. Ness scores with a takedown into Arbenson's guard. Arbenson wants to sweep but no luck. Arbenson is adopting a defensive guard. Arbenson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson landing strikes, looking to finish! Ness is looking to get to half guard. Arbenson wants to control the pace but Ness is squirming around nicely. Ness tries to hold on but Arbenson pushes him away. Ness is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Arbenson scoring with strikes but Ness is staying in there. Mike Ness has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ness sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Arbenson is trying to control the action in half guard but Ness is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Arbenson is trying to work for a kimura but Ness is defending well.
Arbenson wants to control but Ness is keeping him busy. Ness is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arbenson is looking to take a break and control but Ness is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ness is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arbenson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ness is trying to stand back up but Arbenson is controlling him
Arbenson misses with a head shot. Ness uses the momentum to regain guard. Arbenson postures up.
Arbenson passes Ness's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ness has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Arbenson is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Arbenson throwing shots but Ness is blocking nicely. Magus Arbenson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Arbenson trying to control the action but Ness is working from the bottom. Arbenson is just content to waste time from the top position. Ness takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Arbenson wants to control from the top but Ness keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ness is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ness sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Arbenson defending well though.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Magus Arbenson. Well Arbenson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
