Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ting Sonsap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fanis Bartko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bartko's choice of entrance music: Marpo - Muay Thai. Sonsap has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ting Sonsap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fanis Bartko! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Bartko. Sonsap is breathing heavily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sonsap!
Bartko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sonsap pinned against the cage. Sonsap gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ting Sonsap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bartko. Sonsap throws a head kick that misses and Bartko counters with a nice body kick.
Bartko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sonsap's guard. Bartko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bartko chips away with some ground and pound. Bartko trying to control but Sonsap is working from the bottom. Bartko wants to pass the guard but Sonsap is keeping the position. Sonsap is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bartko is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartko works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bartko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bartko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bartko stops Sonsap from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bartko decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Sonsap wants to clinch but Bartko slips to the side and Bartko finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Bartko misses with a body kick. Sonsap closes the distance but Bartko moves to the side and Bartko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bartko.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bartko controls from within his opponent's guard. Bartko advances to half guard. Bartko seems to be looking for submissions.
Sonsap is staying active underneath Bartko, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sonsap looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sonsap is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bartko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sonsap does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sonsap is trying to maintain the position but Bartko is very close to passing his half guard. Bartko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sonsap's waist but Sonsap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bartko off to one side. Bartko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sonsap slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bartko trying to control but Sonsap is working from the bottom. Sonsap pulls Bartko in close to prevent any damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bartko passes Sonsap's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bartko is looking for a kimura here.

Sonsap is pressing down on Bartko's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bartko wants to control from the top but Sonsap keeps moving. Sonsap will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bartko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sonsap keeping moving, preventing Bartko from controlling successfully. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fanis Bartko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Sonsap tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bartko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sonsap gets tackled into the cage by Bartko. Bartko maintains the clinch. Bartko lands with a short punch from the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Bartko's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bartko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sonsap prevents it.

Bartko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sonsap pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ting Sonsap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fanis Bartko. Bartko looking to throw knees to the head but Sonsap is blocking nicely.

Sonsap breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sonsap tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bartko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sonsap fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bartko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bartko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sonsap has escaped the position, nice work there. Bartko has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Sonsap wants to clinch but Bartko slips to the side and Bartko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sonsap! Sonsap stops Bartko from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Bartko landing strikes from the mount and Sonsap is in trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sonsap tries to hold on but Bartko pushes him away. Bartko has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Sonsap is forced to tap!
