The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ribeiro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Roger Ribeiro has been cut.
Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Rutten swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rutten connects with a looping right hand.
Steffa Rutten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutten jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rutten rushes Ribeiro with punches - Ribeiro moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ribeiro goes down! Rutten follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
