Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Daven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shane carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daven comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God -Redneck. shane carwin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from carwin.
Daven swats away the attempt to clinch by carwin.
carwin closes the distance and clinches.
carwin connects with a knee to the head.
carwin manages to break the clinch.
Daven circles away from the clinch attempt.
carwin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daven, pushing him back against the cage.
carwin with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
carwin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Daven up against the cage.
carwin lands an uppercut.
carwin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
carwin pulls guard successfully.
carwin is looking to stand up but Daven isn't so interested in that idea.
Daven stands up over carwin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
carwin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Daven!
Daven is trying desperately to improve position.
carwin gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's one minute gone in the round.
carwin shoots in and drives through. Daven sprawls well.
Daven doesn't manage to clinch there - carwin circles away.
carwin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
carwin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daven looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
carwin looks gassed!
Daven tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Daven on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Daven tries to get out of the position.
carwin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A big right from Daven misses.
carwin clinches with his opponent.
Daven is looking for a takedown up against the cage. carwin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
carwin manages to break the clinch.
Daven keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

carwin clinches up with Daven and pushes him back against the cage.
carwin gets underhooks to prevent Daven's takedown attempt.
carwin breaks from the clinch.
carwin gets caught flat footed, as Daven shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Daven pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. carwin is keeping the position for now.
carwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

carwin is trying to keep Daven in close.
Daven has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
carwin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
carwin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
carwin is looking to stand up but Daven isn't so interested in that idea.
carwin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Daven might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
carwin gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

carwin throws a head kick but Daven moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Daven checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Daven shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Daven showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
carwin manages to escape and get back to his feet!
carwin moves into the clinch successfully.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as carwin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
carwin breaks from the clinch.
carwin closes the distance looking to clinch
so Daven counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Daven stops carwin from standing up.
Daven keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of carwin's head.
carwin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
carwin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Daven passes carwin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Daven is thwarting carwin's attempts to control the position.
carwin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for carwin.
carwin pushes Daven off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
carwin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Daven counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Brett Daven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of shane carwin.
carwin tries to kick Daven off but Daven keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
carwin has hold of Daven's hands but Daven slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
carwin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daven's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daven's back!

carwin tries to get the hooks in deep but Daven pushed the leg off.
Daven rolls, trying to escape but carwin keeps control of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
carwin landing with strikes.
carwin has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Daven is in real trouble here. carwin gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Daven is tapping out! carwin wins by rear naked choke!
