Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanley Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kringle comes to the cage accompanied by Wating on the world to change, by John Mayer. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ramirez's choice of entrance music: Take it in Blood -- Nas. Chris Kringle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hanley Ramirez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hanley Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kringle tries to clinch up but Ramirez circles away and keeps his distance.
Kringle throws a hook but Ramirez avoids it easily.
Kringle takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ramirez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
No joy there for Kringle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kringle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A big left from Kringle misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kringle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ramirez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ramirez tries a head kick but it misses.
Kringle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Kringle drops his hands momentarily and Ramirez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kringle is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramirez.

Kringle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramirez on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hanley Ramirez was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kringle blocks a head kick by Ramirez.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kringle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ramirez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kringle throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kringle has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ramirez.
Kringle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kringle. Ramirez does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kringle misses with an uppercut. Ramirez saw that one coming.
Kringle is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ramirez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ramirez is looking to slow Kringle down with leg kicks.
Kringle chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ramirez can pounce on him.
Kringle tries to clinch but Ramirez is having none of it.

Kringle looks to score with a jab to the body but Ramirez is just out of range.

Kringle tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramirez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hanley Ramirez seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ramirez. That's going to slow Kringle down.

Kringle regains half guard there - taking advantage of Ramirez's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Ramirez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Ramirez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kringle if he has to take too many more of those.

Ramirez lands with a kick to the temple. Kringle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Ramirez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kringle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Ramirez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
