Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Berbick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan James! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berbick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James just misses with a punch to the body.

James looks to land a combination but Berbick avoids it well. James falls off balance throwing a combination
and Berbick counters with a straight right hand. James misses with the combination.
Berbick throws a left and a right that both miss
and James counters with a three punch combo that has Berbick backing up. Berbick nods at James to acknowledge the strikes. Berbick throws a right hand that James ducks under and follows up with a left that James also avoids with ease. James dodges the punch combination from Berbick.
James fails with the takedown. Berbick throws a combination that misses and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from James. Berbick does a little dance to reset his feet. Berbick scores with the left hand. James knows he should have avoided that one. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James stuns Berbick with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Berbick lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as James backs up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. James throws a head kick that misses. James swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Berbick misses. Anthony Berbick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. James misses with a double jab
and Berbick counters with a two punch combo.
It looks like Ryan James has been cut. Berbick on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Anthony Berbick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berbick throws a right hand that James ducks under and follows up with a left that James also avoids with ease. James blocks a head kick by Berbick.
Berbick throws a head kick that misses. Berbick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and James counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Berbick thinking. Berbick is breathing heavily. James fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Berbick is out of range. James scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
