The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amyotte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Richards is looking to regain half guard here but Amyotte keeps moving and retains side control.
Richards takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amyotte postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Richards tries to improve position but can't.
Amyotte tries to move into full mount but can't pass Richards's legs.
Richards dodges the ground and pound from Amyotte.
Richards wants to control but Amyotte postures up.
Richards is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Amyotte is controlling him well.
