Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Eggli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ace's entrance music is Heroes to us. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Ace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Eggli! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ace moves into the clinch successfully.

It looks like Jake Ace has been cut. Eggli softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Ace wants a takedown but no success here.
Ace is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Eggli gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Eggli takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Ace can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Ace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ace has Eggli pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Eggli manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ace stops a takedown attempt from Eggli.
Eggli misses with a hook to the ribs.
Eggli jumps guard but Ace stands there with Eggli around his waist. Eggli gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ace escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ace is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Eggli's half guard. Eggli wants to control but Ace is keeping busy.
Ace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eggli looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Ace pushes past his half guard into mount! Ace controlling his opponent. Eggli tries to hold on but Ace postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Eggli sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ace gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Eggli clinches but Ace breaks the clinch and Ace counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Horrible takedown by Ace or perhaps it was just good defense by Eggli which made him look bad. Eggli doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ace counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ace looking to sit in guard and control but Eggli gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ace trying to keep a closed guard but Eggli is proving a slippery customer.
Ace is breathing heavily. Eggli trying to control but Ace is working from the bottom. Ace wants to stand up but Eggli is controlling him. Eggli postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Eggli drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ace dives on top into guard. Ace postures up and lands a big shot to Eggli's brow. Ace wants to control from the top but Eggli keeps moving. Eggli pulls Ace in close to prevent any damage. Ace controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ace dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake Ace's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Eggli closes the distance looking to clinch and Ace counters with a takedown into side control. Ace working the ground and pound from side control. Ace trying to control the action but Eggli is working from the bottom. Eggli takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Ace cracks Eggli with a big right hand but Eggli just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ace wants to take a breather but Eggli manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eggli keeping moving, preventing Ace from controlling successfully. Eggli has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ace is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Eggli. Eggli is breathing heavily. Eggli on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Ace trying to control the position but Eggli is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eggli misses with a strike from the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Check out the look on Ace's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Ace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Eggli down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action here. Eggli manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ace content to control rather than advance. Eggli is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ace scores with a couple of nice shots. Ace seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Eggli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ace with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Eggli tries to roll over but Ace keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eggli trying to control but Ace postures up.
Ace trying to control from half guard but Eggli is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eggli wants to control the action here but instead Ace manages to pass to full mount! Ace looking to control but Eggli is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ace dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jake Ace's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Eggli tries for a takedown but Ace circles away easily and Ace decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Eggli's guard. Ace wanted to stand there but Eggli had control of the position. Ace is looking to advance position but Eggli has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Ace is squirming around, avoiding Eggli's attempts to control the action. Ace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ace bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Eggli takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Eggli keeping moving, preventing Ace from controlling successfully. Ace is really struggling to control Eggli but he's trying to hold on to the position. Eggli manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ace is squirming around, avoiding Eggli's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eggli looking to control and managing it successfully. Eggli can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ace is looking to escape. Ace tries to lock up and control but Eggli gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ace is trying to reverse the position but instead Eggli has taken his back - oops! Eggli avoiding Ace 's attempts to control his hands. Ace defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Eggli's arms. Ace is trying to get back to his feet but Eggli has full control of the position and if anything, Ace has just worked his way into a worse spot. Eggli is looking to control Ace but Ace is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. I really don't envy Ace right now.
Eggli is looking for the choke from the back position but Ace is controlling his hands well. Ace looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Ace tries to roll but Eggli sticks to his back.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jake Ace. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
