Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yan da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price comes to the cage accompanied by Behind Closed Doors - Rise Against. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hawk Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yan da Silva! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! da Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Price circles away quickly and effectively. da Silva's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and da Silva duly obliges. Price shoots in and drives through. da Silva sprawls well. Yan da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Price drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Price is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Price thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Price wants to control from the top but da Silva keeps moving. Price throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as da Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Silva keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully. da Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Price advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. da Silva avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Price. Price is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, da Silva has managed to free his arm - good work. da Silva trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Price is sneakily working for an arm triangle but da Silva sees it coming and defends easily. Price moves into full mount! da Silva won't be happy about that! Price is working for a guillotine from mount but da Silva frees his head quite easily.
Price gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's three minutes gone in the round. da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Price swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. da Silva misses with a wild combination.
da Silva throws a right hand that Price ducks under and follows up with a left that Price also avoids with ease. da Silva throws a jab when Price was well out of range. da Silva misses with a takedown attempt and Price counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Price. Price has gone for a leg lock! da Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Price's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Price is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. da Silva is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. da Silva landing some decent shots from guard. da Silva won't allow Price to sweep him here. Price is looking to sinch up a triangle. da Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Price's body to avoid the submission. Price has instead reached around da Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Price arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hawk Price!
