Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brocky Lesnary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vernon Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brocky Lesnary! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnary fails with a takedown attempt. No joy there for Lesnary, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Turner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lesnary manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Turner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lesnary on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lesnary tries to get out of the position. Turner is working hard here to advance position. Lesnary is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lesnary shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Turner's guard. Turner trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Lesnary stopping the sweep attempt from Turner. Lesnary wants to stand but Turner has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Lesnary trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lesnary is looking to work some ground and pound but Turner has wrist control. Turner wants to sweep here but Lesnary controlling him for the moment. Lesnary pushing down on Turner's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Turner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lesnary darts in and clinches Turner up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lesnary prevents it.
Turner goes for a takedown attempt but Lesnary pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Turner is breathing heavily. Turner doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lesnary counters with a single leg into guard. Turner didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vernon Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turner throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Lesnary trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lesnary with a nice head shot there. Turner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Turner wants to hit a switch here but Lesnary passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Turner there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner can't escape the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Turner is squirming around, avoiding Lesnary's attempts to control the action. Turner is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnary looking to control but Turner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Turner regains half guard. Lesnary prevents Turner from improving his position. Turner manages to get to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Turner is on top in guard.
Turner could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Turner makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lesnary is keeping the position for now. Turner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lesnary's head. Turner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lesnary will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Lesnary preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lesnary controls Turner momentarily but Turner frees himself. Turner throws a strike but Lesnary rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lesnary trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brocky Lesnary will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lesnary wants to get back to his feet but Turner is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Turner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lesnary working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turner. Lesnary working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Turner scoring with some ground and pound. Turner lands a couple of digs. Turner wants to pass the guard but Lesnary is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Turner with a nice head shot there. Turner distracts Lesnary with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lesnary throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnary working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Turner. Vernon Turner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lesnary throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Turner stands up out of Lesnary's guard for a moment - Lesnary manages to land a nice upkick. Lesnary looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Turner stands up over Lesnary, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Turner is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Lesnary is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Turner can't escape the position.

Lesnary with good strikes from the mount here! Lesnary trying to control but Turner is having none of it. Lesnary looking to secure an arm triangle but Turner defends it well. Lesnary misses with a head shot. Turner manages to regain half guard. Good work. Turner works his way to full guard. Good work.

Turner keeping moving, preventing Lesnary from controlling successfully. Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lesnary is one step ahead there. Lesnary wanted to stand there but Turner had control of the position. Turner has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lesnary has passed into side control.

Turner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lesnary cranks the arm and Turner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Turner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
