The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughan throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range.
Lee moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee misses with the combination.
Vaughan shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Horrible takedown by Vaughan or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Ray Vaughan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vaughan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vaughan off to one side.
Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vaughan.
Vaughan throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely.
Vaughan moves into range and clinches up with Lee.

Lee lands an elbow inside that Vaughan shrugs off.
It looks like Stevie Ray Vaughan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vaughan wants to get back to striking at distance but Lee won't allow it.

Lee lands with a light punch inside.
Vaughan can't break the clinch.
Lee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lee creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Vaughan's defenses.
Lee manages to break the clinch.
Vaughan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vaughan misses with a takedown
and Lee makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Vaughan throws a head kick that misses
and Lee counters with a nice leg kick.
Vaughan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee is pawing at Vaughan, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Vaughan's nose. Vaughan is badly hurt! Lee pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Vaughan tries desperately to hold on but Lee is relentless in his assault! As Vaughan receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lee away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephan Lee!
