Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Door Knob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tidal Wave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wave is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Comfortably Numb Solo. Door Knob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Door Knob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tidal Wave!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knob fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wave fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knob manages to avoid it.
Knob slips a straight right by Wave.
Knob lands a right hook to the body.
A big left from Knob misses.

Knob closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wave did well to prevent Knob getting side control.

Knob is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wave defends it well.
Wave is pressing down on Knob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Knob won't allow Wave to sweep him here.

Knob postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wave is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Knob, into his guard.
Wave working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wave has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Knob tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wave trying to control the position from guard on top but Knob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Knob is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wave's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wave wants to pass the guard but Knob is keeping the position.
Knob tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wave trying to control but Knob is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wave trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Knob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Knob is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wave regains full guard. Nicely done.
Knob trying to control the position from guard on top but Wave is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wave is looking to sweep but instead, Knob has passed into half guard.
Knob trying to control the action but Wave is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Knob in particular looking to stall.
Knob wants to take a breather but Wave is having none of it.
Wave manages to get to full guard.
Wave can't keep his opponent in guard - Knob advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wave wants to control but Knob is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Knob stands up and beckons Wave to join him on the feet.
Knob ducks under a wild hook from Wave.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knob displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wave throws out the jab.

Wave shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wave was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wave lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wave raining down hammerfists from mount.
Wave pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Wave dominating with strikes here.
Knob wants to hold on but Wave pushes him away.
Knob is trying desperately to improve position.
Wave landing strikes from the mount and Knob is in trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wave working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Wave can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Knob is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tidal Wave dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Wave closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knob to the mat! Knob manages to get full guard.
Knob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wave trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Knob utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Knob controls Wave momentarily but Wave frees himself.

Knob is looking for a triangle but Wave pushes his legs off easily.
Knob preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Wave showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Knob looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wave connects with a couple of short punches.
Wave trying to control the position from guard on top but Knob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wave stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knob swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Knob trying to keep a closed guard but Wave is proving a slippery customer.
Wave loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Knob is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wave throws a big right hand that misses.

Wave is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knob is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knob has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wave escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Knob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knob looking to sit in guard and control but Wave gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wave postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wave cracks Knob with a solid left hand.
Wave lands a couple of elbows.
Knob is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Knob wants to sweep but no luck.
Wave trying to move into half guard but instead Knob has managed to sweep!
Knob trying to control but Wave is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wave swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wave controlling the position.
Wave is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wave looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knob is one step ahead there.
Knob slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Knob wants to stand but Wave has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tidal Wave showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Wave takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wave fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Knob is in all sorts of trouble here.

It looks like Door Knob has been cut.

Wave swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Knob is now in Wave's guard. A big mistake from Wave there, giving up the dominant position!
Tidal Wave has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wave looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wave looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Knob is defending well. Wave quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Knob has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Wave celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tidal Wave!
