Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimpo comes to the cage accompanied by On The Darkside. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Chimpo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Jones! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chimpo slips under a jab from Jones. Chimpo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Johnny Chimpo has been cut. Chimpo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chimpo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Chimpo throws a head kick that misses. Chimpo shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Chimpo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chimpo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Chimpo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chimpo lands in his opponent's guard. Chimpo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chimpo, into his guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Chimpo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chimpo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into half guard.
Chimpo is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Chimpo pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chimpo wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chimpo is defended easily by Jones. Chimpo tries a head kick but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimpo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chimpo feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down. Chimpo throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it. Chimpo throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Chimpo only half commits. Chimpo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Chimpo tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Chimpo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Chimpo misses with a low kick. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Chimpo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Chimpo. Jones checks a leg kick. James Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jones checks a low kick from Chimpo. Chimpo shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Chimpo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chimpo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Chimpo.
Chimpo throws a low kick but Jones moves out of range easily. Jones slips under a jab. Chimpo looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Jones digs a good body shot into Chimpo's ribs. Chimpo throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Chimpo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Chimpo is looking to clinch. Chimpo throws a leg kick that misses. Horrible takedown by Chimpo or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Chimpo is breathing heavily. Nice defenses there by Jones. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Chimpo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chimpo misses with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Chimpo's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jones scores with a jab. Chimpo acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Chimpo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Chimpo. Jones blocks a head kick by Chimpo.
Chimpo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Chimpo wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Chimpo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chimpo lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Jones attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A shot to the liver by Jones. Beautiful body shot. Chimpo thows a leg kick but Jones checks it and Jones counters with a right hand to the body. Chimpo with a poor takedown and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jones lands a nice looking body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones tried to score with a low kick but Chimpo checks it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chimpo throws a leg kick and Chimpo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands a slapping body shot.

Chimpo is rocked! Jones lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Chimpo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jones dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
