Nastula fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Nastula. No joy for Gurvits on that attempt.
Gurvits closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nastula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gurvits. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gurvits is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nastula will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Gurvits has hold of Nastula's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Nastula tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gurvits cranks the arm and Nastula screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Nastula, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
