Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dog Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teddy Roosevelt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dog Alpha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Roosevelt!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Roosevelt.
The fighters circling - Alpha throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Teddy Roosevelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alpha throws a head kick that misses.
Alpha scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Roosevelt throws out a loose jab but Alpha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Alpha throws a series of punches but Roosevelt avoids them all with ease.

Alpha bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Alpha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Alpha seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Roosevelt for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Alpha uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roosevelt.
Roosevelt clobbers Alpha with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Alpha shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Alpha content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Alpha wants to pass to mount but Roosevelt is defending the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well Alpha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
