Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slick Inakmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griswold's entrance music is Hooking Up The Lights. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slick Inakmas! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inakmas gets a clinch. Griswold misses with a body punch.

Inakmas digs a right hand underneath Griswold's ribcage. Griswold let out a lung full of air as it connected. Inakmas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Inakmas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Griswold being controlled against the cage. The crowd are getting on Inakmas's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Inakmas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Griswold backwards. Inakmas trying to land knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short uppercut from Inakmas. Inakmas tries a body shot but Griswold blocks it.
Inakmas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Griswold blocks it with crossed arms. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Inakmas lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Griswold drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rusty Griswold. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griswold digs a right hand into Inakmas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Inakmas's gas tank. Inakmas tries to stall but Griswold uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Griswold throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Inakmas looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Inakmas tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Griswold tries to throw a body punch but Inakmas avoids it by throwing Griswold back against the cage. Inakmas stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Griswold lands a nice shot to the body. A left hand lands to the body for Griswold.

Griswold works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griswold passes Inakmas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Inakmas gets full guard. Griswold wants to pass the guard but Inakmas is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inakmas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Griswold tries to free his leg and advance position but Inakmas is retaining full guard. Griswold in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Inakmas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Inakmas controls Griswold momentarily but Griswold frees himself. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Griswold chips away with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Griswold won't allow Inakmas to sweep him here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Griswold trying to control the position from guard on top but Inakmas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Inakmas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inakmas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griswold's guard. Griswold bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Inakmas's guard. Inakmas looking for a sweep. Not yet Inakmas, not yet. Griswold in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Griswold wants to control from the top but Inakmas keeps moving. Inakmas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rusty Griswold will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A slow jab from Inakmas misses its intended target. Griswold stuns Inakmas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Griswold shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Griswold was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Griswold with shots to the head and body - Inakmas looks very uncomfortable down there. Inakmas is trying desperately to improve position. Inakmas holds on for dear life, controlling Griswold's posture momentarily. Griswold looking to control but Inakmas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inakmas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Inakmas wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Griswold.
You get the feeling that Inakmas really doesn't like being in this position too much.
A nice elbow there by Griswold.
Inakmas is rocked! Griswold cracks Inakmas with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rusty Griswold! Rusty Griswold is the new middleweight champion!
