The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ofthegods misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lidell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ofthegods circles away quickly and effectively.
Lidell blocks the body kick.
Ofthegods lands a slapping body shot.
Lidell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ofthegods defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown by Lidell or perhaps it was just good defense by Ofthegods which made him look bad.

Ofthegods lands a big shot that drops Lidell! Can he finish him?

It looks like Chuck Lidell has been cut.

Ofthegods drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ofthegods jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ofthegods trying to control the position from guard on top but Lidell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lidell is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ofthegods drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lidell looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lidell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lidell!

Lidell shoots for a takedown but Ofthegods saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lidell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ofthegods manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lidell is defended easily by Ofthegods.

and Lidell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ofthegods is looking to stand up but Lidell isn't so interested in that idea.
Ofthegods wants to sweep here but Lidell controlling him for the moment.

Lidell tries to free his leg and advance position but Ofthegods is retaining full guard.

Lidell is trying to control Ofthegods's posture but Ofthegods avoids it.
Ofthegods scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lidell to see if he's OK.

Ofthegods wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lidell, who protects the arm well.

Ofthegods has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lidell is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ofthegods yanks on the arm and Lidell is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ofthegods.
