Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Randy Tessin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bullet for my Valentine - Scream Aim And Fire kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Scott Wright was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Randy Tessin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Wright!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessin is looking to clinch but Wright is avoiding it.
Tessin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wright.
Tessin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wright was well out of range. Poor timing from Tessin.
Wright slips under a jab.
Wright gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tessin misses with an uppercut. Wright saw that one coming.
Tessin throws a lazy right hand but Wright sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wright misses with a hook. Tessin ducked under it nicely.
No joy there for Tessin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tessin takes a swing at Wright's ribcage but misses.
Wright avoids the body shot from Tessin.
Tessin throws a body punch but Wright moves out of range.
Wright slips a jab from Tessin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright lands with a kick to the ribs.
Tessin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wright lands with a good body shot.
Tessin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tessin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wright stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wright walks into a stiff left hand from Tessin.

Tessin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wright throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tessin on the side of the head.
Wright misses with a wild combination.
Tessin misses with a body punch
and Tessin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tessin missing with a left hand there. Wright was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Tessin misses with a looping left.
Wright throws a series of punches but Tessin moves out of range.
Tessin catches Wright with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Randy Tessin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tessin lands a jab to Wright's midsection.
Tessin defending well as Wright loads up on a big left hand.
Wright falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tessin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wright thinking.
Wright tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tessin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wright paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tessin lands a nice hook to Wright's body. Wright takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Tessin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tessin misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Wright counters with a nice uppercut.
Tessin wants to clinch up but Wright keeps it at a distance.
Tessin misses with a shot to the body
and Wright counters with a straight right hand.
Tessin blocks a head kick by Wright.
Wright gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Tessin works Wright's body with a nice hook.
Wright looks gassed!
Tessin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wright.
Tessin tries to clinch but Wright is having none of it.
Wright takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tessin lunges at Wright with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wright's hand.
Wright takes one on the button.
Wright ducks under a wild hook from Tessin.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tessin lands a big uppercut and Wright crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wright looks OK. Tessin waves Wright back to his feet!
Wright is rocked!
Wright is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Tessin doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Wright crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Wright's bad books for that mishap!
