Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Arnold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James swings for the body but Arnold moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by James. James wants to control but Arnold is keeping him busy. Arnold struggling a bit here. Arnold sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. James is trying to work for a kimura but Arnold is defending well.
James thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Arnold's head. James tries to pass to full mount but Arnold defends it. James working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Arnold's thigh. Arnold counters though and makes it back to full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. James looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnold is adopting a defensive guard. Arnold trying to control the position.
James pushing down on Arnold's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. James is looking for a kimura but Arnold is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for James to get the leverage. James is working for a kimura but Arnold is defending it quite comfortably.
Arnold is refusing to be controlled, as James sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Arnold wants to control but James is keeping busy.
James is trying to control. Arnold wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. James connects with a nice short shot to Arnold's temple. James controlling the action here. James is trying to control the action in half guard but Arnold is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. James trying to pass the guard but Arnold defending well. Arnold looks like he's trying to stand up.
James is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Arnold has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is pressing down on Arnold's thigh, looking to free his foot. Arnold is holding on for now. Arnold wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Arnold could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. James slips a nice elbow through Arnold's hands, connecting with Arnold's forehead. Arnold wants to control but James is keeping busy.
James trying to control from Arnold's half guard. Arnold has other ideas though and has regained full guard. James wants to pass the guard but Arnold is keeping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddie James dominated that round. That's time! Arnold's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Arnold misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Arnold. No joy for James on that attempt. Arnold gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Arnold's guard now. James is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Arnold is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Arnold has escaped and now he's on top! James is trying to keep Arnold in close.
James wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnold prevents James from getting back to his feet. Arnold would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Arnold wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. Arnold with a flurry of punches that miss. Arnold trying to stand up but can't free himself from James's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. James is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. James is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Arnold has James pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. James manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Arnold smiles and moves away.
James swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Arnold fails in his attempt to clinch. Arnold fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Arnold. That's going to take a lot out of him. James swings for the body but Arnold moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arnold tries to clinch and James counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. James drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Arnold manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now James has Arnold in his guard. James is breathing heavily. Arnold wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arnold in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James keeping moving, preventing Arnold from controlling successfully. James pulls Arnold in close to prevent any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Arnold wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddie James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Arnold misses with a takedown attempt and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Arnold's guard. Arnold throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
James wants to control from the top but Arnold keeps moving. James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arnold swivels though and keeps the full guard. James pushes down on Arnold's leg and manages to get into half guard. Arnold looks like he's trying to stand up.
James wants to get back to his feet.
Arnold is trying to stand up here but James is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. James wants to pass to mount but Arnold is defending the position. James moves nicely into side control. Arnold pushes James away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, James gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Arnold can't do much from the bottom here. James lands an elbow. James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sloppy strikes there by James.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from James are missing the target in this wave of attacks. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. James decides to stand back up. James steps back and let's Arnold get back to his feet. Arnold tries to clinch and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Arnold's guard now. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Arnold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Arnold is keeping the position for now. Arnold trying to control the position.
James throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Arnold works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Arnold wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arnold avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. James drops back, looking for a kneebar! Arnold looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Arnold looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Arnold! James is trying to control Arnold's posture but Arnold avoids it. Arnold is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Arnold working away. John Arnold has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Freddie James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. James is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Arnold off and has taken his back! James is persistently looking for the submission but Arnold is defending it well.
James is looking for the choke from the back position but Arnold is controlling his hands well. James not allowing Arnold to control his hands. Arnold is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Freddie James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
