Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Spark Boro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knut Krauthans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knut Krauthans has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Spark Boro's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Spark Boro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Knut Krauthans!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krauthans fails with the takedown.
Boro bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Knut Krauthans has been cut.
Krauthans tries to close the distance and clinch but Boro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Krauthans looks to score with a jab to the body but Boro is just out of range.
Krauthans tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Boro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Krauthans shoots in looking for a takedown but Boro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Krauthans's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boro throws a series of punches but Krauthans avoids them all with ease.

Boro lands a big head kick that sends Krauthans tumbling to the mat! Boro takes a step backwards and waves Krauthans back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Krauthans or perhaps it was just good defense by Boro which made him look bad.

Spark Boro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knut Krauthans.

Boro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Krauthans.
Knut Krauthans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Krauthans misses with a jab, cross combination.
Krauthans moves in looking to clinch but Boro pushes him off.
Krauthans throws a left and a right that both miss
and Boro counters with a stiff right hand.


The cut above Knut Krauthans's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boro misses with a hook. Krauthans ducked under it nicely.
Spark Boro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Boro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Krauthans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boro's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krauthans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Boro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krauthans on the ground.

Krauthans pushes down on Boro's leg and manages to get into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Well, if Krauthans is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Krauthans darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Krauthans is stalling here. Boro is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Krauthans seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Boro has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Krauthans is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Krauthans stops Boro from getting back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knut Krauthans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
